It seems Facebook has integrated with foursquare -- as web strategist Josh Harcus first posted and Robert Scoble reshared on his Google+ page.
We have contacted both Facebook and foursquare about the relationship. We will update this story if we receive a response.
One commenter to Scoble's post noted that foursquare, Yelp and Gowalla links already appear on certain business pages:
LAUNCH has found the same links on other restaurant pages.
UPDATE: Gowalla and Yelp have also appear on Facebook, but it is not clear whether Yelp or foursquare has been contacted by Facebook.
"This deeper integration is definitely something we've seen in patches over the last few weeks, but its certainly something that Facebook appears to be doing on their own," Josh Williams, Gowalla CEO told LAUNCH via email. "We haven't worked directly with them on it. I'm assuming they're doing some footwork to simply improve their point of interest database."
A foursquare spokesperson told LAUNCH via email that there is no formal agreement between the two companies.
A few weeks ago, Facebook killed its places function in an apparent nod to foursquare and its location-based check-in dominance [ see our story ].
