@jason: Reading about a company called Sambreel Holdings that makes toolbars/apps like Page Rage, Buzzdoc and Drop Down that replace ads on AOL and New York Times with their own deals. Question for y'all: If a user makes a chrome extension that replaces the ads on their own computer--on the client side--with pictures of kittens is that legal? Ethical? Sure, it's legal and it's probably ethical (but rude since you're getting the product free/subsidized by ads). Now, if a company makes a tool that does this, or replaces it with ads that benefit them, is that illegal? Feels like it isn't. Feels like it's duping users and interfering with NYT ability to conduct commerce. Where are my lawyers at? - Link
